Today, 1st March, is St David’s Day, the saint day for Wales, when Daffodils are worn and are usually in full bloom, though maybe peeking through the snow this year?! Later in the month on the 21st it is the equinox or the first day of spring. So spring is on the way!

Heart and Soul Expo at Vuni Palace Hotel Conference Centre, Kyrenia on the weekend of 8th and 9th May. Saturday 10am to 8pm, Sunday 10am to 6pm. Entry fee: 10 TL per person (children under 12 free entry, students half price with valid card) per day includes Expo Magazine/programme and all the lectures. Come along and meet a wide range of practitioners. Many products and taster sessions to buy.

For this month’s contribution I would like to include a very heartening story from Dr Shahin Ahmedov, one of last year’s exhibitors and Bulent one of the editors of the Heart and Soul Magazine. This is his story from the storms last Friday:

On Friday Feb.26 I was on my way back to home from Nicosia to Karshiyaka. Heavy rain caused flood as you know, and place around Dr.Nalantoglu State Hospital in Nicosia was one of those flooding regions. I dr0ve that way carefully but instantly my car stopped & I found myself and my family in the middle of flowing river. It was pretty unpleasant feeling of uncertanity and hopelessness. Water started to fill the car and I started to make plans on how to get my family away. Suddenly one Jeep has driven from behind and stopped. The driver asked if we need his help? I didn’t know who was the driver until I opened my window: this was Bulent Gardiyano?lu and he was also surprized to meet me there. He left his car to help me to adjust and fix the rope to pull my car away. We worked sinked deep up to the groin area into the flowing muddy river, fixed the rope and he pulled me away.

There are no words of thanks, which could meet of what Bülent did for us.
I just want you to know that the only driving force, which pulled our car away from danger, was Bülent’s compassion and strong positive energy and nothing else.
