Canada to North Cyprus: Dream on….Dream away! In: Out of the loop 1 Feb 2010
Happy New Year to Everyone! The break was a long time coming but I enjoyed every minuted of it by just relaxing. Then January 4th rolled around and we started back to work. Long days in an office, without a window, which starts as a walk up the freshly shovelled stairs in the dark, and ends walking down the slushy stairs again….in the dark. These days are perfect for dreaming! Dreaming about what, you may ask. How about sunny Cyprus and beautiful houses with the sea that never fails the senses. Sometimes I do dream away, find myself imagining myself in my apartment, cooking up a storm with fresh vegetables and enjoying every moment of it. I also imagine going for long walks on the beach and letting my kids run around like crazy. I do believe that the Canadian lifestyle is very fast paced to the point that people forget that life is so precious. I don’t mean to sound so mellowdramatic but its just what I believe. I want to have a simple life, and I know that I can create that in Cyprus. I want my kids to grow up in a lifestyle that is relaxed yet modern and I know we will find that there. The best of both worlds. In this world of high technology and the goal of fitting as many “things to do” in a typical day may be a good goal for some, but I believe that stepping back a bit and learning from the simple things that life has to offer is the way I wish to raise my children. This is more of a realistic lifestyle goal in Cyprus. The -25 degrees celcius weather is another enormous factor of wanting to just get to the island. I will continue to dream but for now I really need to get back to work. Stay up to date will all latest news, events, competitions and articles from Lincguide, subscribe to our free service. i have been following the recent visit to cyprus by the secretary general, banki moon. it is interesting to see such a high profile visit at cruicial stages in the unification talks between the two leaders. north and south. this has to be achieved before turkey can be fully accepted into the european union. the way foreward for the two leaders is in essence is, bizonial and bicommunial. with two soverein governments. by the way, we are moving to north cyprus soon.

Hi Jenni, if you can give Peter your email address (that is if you do have his email) he can then forward that to me, so I can write to you about our more detailed personal plans. It may help with your own plan.
