Heart and Soul, LaptaIn: Events 27 Jun 2009
Included in the stalls were 5 charity tables: NCCT North Cyprus Cancer Trust, SOS Children’s Village, TULIPS Cancer Charity, 112 Emergency and Civil Defence Group, and KAR the Kyrenia Animal Rescue charity. Many practices, self help information, exercise classes, dance, drumming, music, organic skin products, books, crystals, cloths and much more were on display and demonstrated. Practitioners offered taster sessions and gave out information along with over 30 lectures/classes. 16 different nationalities were represented among the stall holders. So now the stalls are dismantled, evaluation has taken place and well deserved holidays taken. The dust has settled and it is time to reflect on how to make next year’s Heart and Soul Expo bigger, better and reach even more people. So early May 2010 should see the Expo open it’s doors again.
There is also an events section where practitioners will post their courses, seminars etc. Did you miss a practitioner at the Expo? Then find their contact details under the ‘practitioner’ tab. For me, it was wonderful to see so many people brought together to share information and learning. Many visitors commented that they did not realise there were so many things available in TRNC. For the practitioners old friends have met and new friends made. International connections were also made, building bridges between people that transcend everyday politics. If you couldn’t make it to the Heart and Soul Expo this year then do make a note in your diary for the next one…..
