I was born and grew up in North London and studied Law at University College London (UCL), graduating in 2001. I then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London, passing the exams with distinction. With the aim of expanding my legal knowledge and improving my language skills, I then took up a job working in the legal department of a prestigious offshore trusts company based in Liechtenstein.
In 2003, I moved to Northern Cyprus where I gained employment at a large law firm in Kyrenia. This enabled me to gain invaluable experience of the legal system of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (T.R.N.C). I was called to the T.R.N.C bar in 2005 and then established Naomi Mehmet & Partners, which currently has four lawyers and a total staff of eleven.
Naomi Mehmet & Partners has two offices, one in Kyrenia and one in Famagusta, and has expertise in a wide range of fields including conveyancing, probate, company and commercial law and litigation. I am fluent in English, German and Turkish and specialise in property and conveyancing.
