Nightclubs in Northern Cyprus

Amidst all the culture and history that Cyprus has to offer by day is an entire new world of fun and frolic by night. And although some travelers may plan their trip for the places that offer the most at night no matter where you stay you will find a unique experience at sunset. Still a long way behind the south when it comes to clubbing, new clubs are popping up in the north.

While most nightclubs and discos offer
enjoyment with music and dancing, it is best to not stray from the beaten path as many smaller establishments are
nothing more than tacky bars full of escorts (unless you like that sort of thing!).

Nightlife in Nicosia
Although there is plenty to offer, Nicosia is probably not the place to stay if nightlife is your main agenda. Here, again, it is best to stay with the established clubs in the major hotels as many of the other so called “discos” are nothing more than a place for escorts. While in Nicosia you will find three main dance clubs with DJ’s playing music from every era.

Larnaca
As you get closer to either coast there is more to offer in the way of nightlife. In Larnaca you will find numerous clubs and bars. Surely you will find your own flavor of music in one or more establishments. And even if you are not into the dance scene there is plenty to choose from in more relaxed bars.

Kyrenia
It is only fitting that nightlife in Kyrenia should evolve around the breathtaking harbor and beach. Kyrenia offers both nightclubs and bars and all are centrally located and within walking distance of each other making it easy to sample a little bit of everything. The harbour is a favorite spot for tourists and residents as many establishments offer outdoor seating and a variety of music. Many offer live music but most bars use DJs.
