 Golf in Northern Cyprus
Golf is a sport rather new to Cyprus but a natural to become more popular as the climate of the island offers undeniable days of perfect conditions.
Although there are two golf courses in North Cyprus at present one is much better than the other. The opening of this professional course in Kyrenia has all the bells and whistles to satisfy any golfer.
Korineum Golf and Country Club
With the Five Finger Mountains at your back and the beautiful Mediterranean in your sight this beautiful new 18-hole course is the first of its kind in North Cyprus. The serious golfer will find it satisfyingly challenging with its bunkers and water hazards. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the bar and clubhouse offers everything a golfer could want after a full day on the course. It is a par 72 international course and is the 16th course to be designed by Arne Von Amerongon. The course is beautifully landscaped and dotted with olive trees throughout the more than 6200 meters.
The Country Club is also home to a Fitness center, Hair Salon, Massage Parlour and Sauna .
Other facilities include a well renowned Restaurant and 2 conference rooms.

Cengiz Topel Golf Course
Offering an alternative to the luxury at Korineum is the Cengiz Topel Golf Course near Guzelyurt is for you.
The Cengiz Topel Golf Club can be found about 40 minutes from Kyrenia on the Guzelyurt to Lefke road in the small village of Yesilyurt.
You will see the sign for the club on the right hand side just as you are leaving the village.
The course is two sets of nine holes. Many of the holes use a mixture of sand and oil to replace the 'green' which is much better than you may imagine.
Clubs can be hired and the course is basic, but good fun and real challenge to even the most experienced.
