Camping in Northern Cyprus
If camping your way around North Cyprus is in your travel plans there are plenty of places to stay. For serious campers, there are a few places to pitch a tent and get away from it all. For those who enjoy a few comforts of home, licensed sites will provide you with the necessities for extended stays.
Karpas Peninsula
The Karpas Peninsula in North Cyprus is for the more rugged camper but can provide an experience that is unmatched by most.
Located about 30 minutes from the nearest town or village camping on the peninsula does not provide any electricity. But it does provide the best place to watch two species of nesting turtles. The miles of pristine beaches are home to these turtles. You will not be allowed to get up close but you can watch from a distance for an experience that is worth writing home about. A nearby restaurant does provide camping facilities for this area.

Troodos Mountain
The Troodos Hill Resort is .05km from Troodos to Pano Amiantos Village.
Although a few campsites are open year round the basic season runs March through Oct. It is best to call ahead to confirm your favorite site is open.
For the more adventurous camper there are numerous areas where camping is allowed but with none of the comforts of an official site.
There are plenty of areas that provide free camping throughout the country.
