Before you think about buying a property in Northern Cyprus make sure you have all the facts and knowledge you can possibly find. Do your homework and don't leave anything down to trust! This may seam harsh but any reputable sellers, Developers or Estate Agents will not question your desire to protect yourself and your money.

It may seem obvious, but make sure the person you are buying from actually owns the property or land they are selling.
Get a lawyer you can trust. Get them to read over contracts, don't be scared to include your own penalty clauses, if deadlines are not met, or there are delays to the process.
Don't let your heart rule your wallet. There are some fantastic properties in Northern Cyprus and prices can be just as good. Don't allow yourself to be rushed into things, buying a property is probably the biggest investment you make, so take your time.
If someone is trying to rush you or push you into it, be suspicious of them.
If you are new to living in Northern Cyprus, get to know the area you are moving to.
Just if you were buying a property in the UK take all things into consideration.

Will your beautiful sea-view still be there if they build a block of flats in front of your property?
Are you miles from the nearest shop?
